Don’t you just love being added to mailing lists purely by association? I found the tidbit highlighted below in a flyer advertising something that obviously means a tremendous amount to me, a workshop on Supporting, Troubleshooting, and Optimizing Windows 2000. You all managed to catch the sarcasm there, right?The Hidden ToolOf course, you can just feel what’s coming next, can’t you? Number one: if a piece of software has been programmed to properly handle and display exceptions, any error messages that do occur shouldn’t need additional explanation. Number two: if indeed the software could not be programmed to properly handle and display exceptions, then why is the specific diagnostic tool that is used to help explain those exceptions hidden? Oh dear.
