Got some spare time to tinker? Why not get Mac OS X running on an 680×0 Mac? I think I smell a full weekend project coming on. Some of the things to watch out for while attempting this Frankensteinian software upgrade? Apple 12″ monitors will fry on startup due to the Quartz environment resetting the video resolution, and running Quark Xpress will erase the boot volume hard disk driver. Ah, but these are small prices to pay for the overwhelming satisfaction of proving a point.
