A Kaleidoscope scheme that was “identical or confusingly similar to Apple’s Aqua theme for its Mac OS X system” has been pulled from circulation by its author. I understand the need for protection of certain types of intellectual property and industrial design concepts, but wouldn’t it make more sense for Apple to encourage the adoption of Aqua prior to the release of OS X, than to squash an obvious grassroots interest in it? Oh, I guess I answered my own question there didn’t it?
