Here’s the real reason why those Microsofties still have a job. A fully carbonized version of Internet Explorer for Mac OS X is coming down the pipe. So it’s not really that big of deal to take a properly written app that runs under OS 9 and make it jiggy to OS X, but I still find this encouraging.
“The amount of new development that’s taking place right now inside of Microsoft for the Mac platform is probably more than has happened at any point in our history. It’s a very exciting time to be developing for the platform.”
How much of this is pure corporate public relations pap? Who knows. But, as long as they’re still talking about it, they’re probably still working on it.
