Amazoning the NewsA great piece on the process of telling stories, relaying information, and ultimately being successful at engaging people in an experience via the web. It may seem obvious, but a significant number of companies and individuals lose sight of the fact that writing for the web requires you to approach things differently than you would using traditional media or interaction. If nothing else, this article is a solid refresher on what the differences are and how they can be advantageous to writers, story tellers, and indeed, resellers like Amazon. The examples showing the use of the Amazon model, that is, successfully combining the five rules of net engagement and applying it to news and sports stories, is nothing less than brilliant.
